The STORM Junior Dutch Open Bowling is hosted by Foundation Junior Dutch Open, which is registered at the Dutch Kamer van Koophandel (Chamber of Commerce) under number 86792113.

As one of the fournders of the Junior Dutch Open Foundation, I’m associated with the JDO as the chairman. The goal of our organization is to create an international tournament for youth under the age of 26, while being a part of the EBT Youth and co-operating with the USAAI, where every single one of our participants is given the opportunity to develop themselves as sportsmen, but as individuals as well. I’m proud I’m able to support that.

As a parent of former youth-bowlers I’ve had the experience that, after years of being on the road nationally and internationally, friendships get made and will keep standing. This way you’ll create a way to transition from the youths to the seniors while keeping it fun, ambitious and accessible. This is the one thing I’m striving to support while volunteering for the JDO.

I’ve always had a thing for ‘volunteering’. I just rolled into it by meeting Monica at bowlingtournaments and while taking pictures for a friend. Now, just a little more than a year later, I’ve become a member of the board, passing my knowledge of IT to others and keeping everything digitally well-maintained. It’s a pleasure to see the children enjoy the game of bowling; a game which I’ve enjoyed over the past 17 years and many more years to come.

I’m a volunteer because I love being in touch with youth and the sport of bowling. I’ve been involving myself with the bowlingsport for many years as a volunteer but as a sponsor as well. Within the Junior Dutch Open I’m responsible for the lottery. It gives me a great amount of pleasure to see how friendships for life get formed through the JDO and its participants.
